This year we performed concerts of songs from the Savoy Operas, some well known, from the operas below, and some less well known and new to us.
In the past, we have worked our way through most of the thirteen G&S operas so that, over a period of a dozen years, you should have had a chance to hear or sing in most of them, although a small number requiring a large chorus are more difficult to perform. None of them are really difficult or stretching; all of them, even the lesser known ones, have some great tunes and all have great wit and amusement. In recent years we have performed:

2011 - Pirates of Penzance (it's dangerous down west)
2010 - Yeoman of the Guard (with one of the greatest hit tunes and the only one to end in tears)
2009 - The Sorcerer (one of the 'minor' ones but with some stunning stuff in it)
2008 - HMS Pinafore and Trial by Jury
2007 - The Mikado (the Hamlet of the oeuvre)
2006 - Ruddigore (ghosts and all)
2005 - The Gondoliers (very appropriate for a maritime county)

2003 - Iolanthe
2002 - Pirates of Penzance
2001 - Yeoman of the Guard
2000 - Mikado
